Hi All!
Do the positive contrast be essential in the Microbiological Testing(total aerobic microbial count) of purified Water?
In my opinion, it is needless.

Most of us need to test conform the USPh and/or EUPh.
I don't recollect that anything about contradzst colouring is mentioned in there.
We only perform GRAMM colouring when we have growth on our enterobacteraecea test.
