I have just released a new internet based solution for the management and analysis of trend data gathered by medical devices. I am writing on this forum to illicit feedback and information on any opportunities that the members may be able to suggest.

The solution Etrending allows a user of a medical device to connect it to their local computer and upload the data which is then scored and displayed using a state-of-the-art graphical interface.
The initial model released is based around the nocturnal pulse oximetry study for the diagnosis of OSA that utilizes data stored on a pulse oximeter. Etrending has been designed in a modular format and it will prove relatively easy to both integrate additional devices and other study types. The only limitation is that the medical device must have internal memory and be able to be connected to the users local computer.

This is a short list of the benefits I see in the ability to upload medical data to a central server and then view the scored graphical data online:
- The uploaded data can be shared globally and viewed simultaneously by multiple medical professionals
- The solution can be updated frequently and immediately without having to reissue hard copies.
- The advertising on the site can be customized to target the user. This would guarantee a user only views adverts for products they want to buy.
- The solution could be sold as a global service. Anybody in the global market can signup for a single or multiple use.

I am currently offering the service for free and would ask that you register at www.etrending.com to have a look at the functionality on offer.

Many thanks for your attention,
Etrending
