Director, R&D/Sr. Formulations Scientist
Job Requirements
• PhD, MS, BS in pharmacology, chemistry or related field.
• Extensive experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments developing generic drugs. Priority will be given to candidates who demonstrate both laboratory and applied (operational) expertise.
• Proven and demonstrable skill in formulating and troubleshooting a range of solid dosage forms. Additional experience in the formulation of semi-solids is a plus.
• Knowledge of all relevant regulatory requirements
• Ability to visualize and implement a project from start to finish
• Outstanding oral, written and computer skills
• Desire to work in a fast-paced manufacturing facility with unlimited career growth potential
Job Responsibilities
• Formulate Dietary Supplements, OTC & Rx drugs
• Proactive research of all APIs and excipients
• Interface with production and Q.A. to coordinate and expedite R&D batches
• Thorough documentation of the process
• Report progress to upper management at weekly R&D meeting
