The Staff Advanced Research Cell Biologist initiates, designs, develops and implements complex scientific research projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. The incumbent investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products; plans and executes laboratory research with either in-house or external resources; maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories; may contribute to scientific literature and conferences; may participate in the development of patent applications; and coordinates interdepartmental activities and research.
Educational Requirements:
Possess a Ph.D. and 6 yrs of academic experience.
Strength in human cellular immunology a must.
Knowledgeable of flow cytometry and hematology instrumentation, principals, and
assay development a must.
Strength in monitoring immune regulation and immune regulatory networks helpful. Experience with tissue culture and with animal models helpful.
