SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

The Equipment Engineering department employs a group of 12 engineers and technicians with expertise in the areas of process, electrical, and mechanical engineering. The groups mission is to provide effective engineering solutions for both internal and external customers. The department is responsible for providing technical support in the areas of design, development, implementation, validation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and processes. Due to company growth, we are adding staff to this department.
Responsibilities:
Partner with manufacturing to resolve technical issues related to current equipment and processes.
Work with internal customers to help define and implement Engineering improvement opportunities that supports business growth.
Design mechanical solutions for automating current business processes.
Utilize CAD drawings in the design and support of manufacturing equipment.
Investigate and develop new technologies that leverage industry best practices.
Work with suppliers to resolve part quality issues and improve performance.
Ensure compliance with stated quality and engineering regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
BS Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Equivalent.
Minimum 5 years experience in design and manufacturing.
Working knowledge of electro-mechanical system design concepts and functions.
Working knowledge of Solidworks, AutoCAD or equivalent CAD tools.
The ability to troubleshoot, solve, and manage complex problems.
Excellent communication verbal and written skills required.
