Shionogi USA is the US subsidiary of a leading Japanese pharmaceutical company, Shionogi & Co., Ltd. We are in the unique position of having the financial backing and research capabilities of a well-established, leading Japanese pharmaceutical company, matched with the entrepreneurial spirit of a start-up company. Our US pharmaceutical development team is expanding in multiple areas and we need a talented Project Manager to join our team – a group of talented professionals whose experience comes from a wide range of US pharmaceutical companies.
Responsibilities
• Contribute to the strategic planning of assigned clinical development programs.
• Facilitate constructive discussion of strategies, risks, and plans to ensure effective utilization of resources.
• Effectively communicate with team members and functional leaders.
• Prepare clinical development program timelines, budgets and resource needs, track and report status, manage as needed to assure timely and cost effective attainment of agreed upon deliverables.
• Organize and lead team meetings and project reviews.
Qualifications
• BS in life sciences field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5 – 7 years pharmaceutical development experience with at least 3 years in a project management role interacting routinely with clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and other functional staff.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead projects in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong knowledge of development strategies and drug development/regulatory processes
• Solid leadership, communication, presentation, intercultural and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent project management skills and technically sound in use of project management tools.
• Willingness to travel 5 – 10%.
